Introduction

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic. In the Philippines, as of time of writing, 3246 people have been confirmed positive with the virus and 152 of those cases have died, many of them being senior citizens.

As one of the leading nursing homes in the country, Camillus Medhaven takes the threat of COVID-19 seriously as it houses 132 elderly residents who are all vulnerable to the virus. In addition to the residents, the 167 employees of the institution are also at risk of contracting the virus because they cannot work from home, as it is their duty to give continuous care to the residents.

Objectives of the Program

  1. To ensure that no resident or employee of Camillus Medhaven contracts COVID-19 by giving nutritious food and vitamins for at least 2 months.
  2. To give proper compensation to the employees of Camillus Medhaven in the form of Incentive Pay and Hazard Pay for at least 2 months.

Implementation of the Program

The food and vitamins will be distributed to the residents and employees for at least 2 months as such: 3 meals per resident per day and 2 capsules of vitamins per resident/employee will be given.

The incentive pay and hazard pay will be given to the employees with their regular salaries every 15th and 30th of the month.
