Introduction:
Pangarap Foundation, Inc. has been operating a Shelter Program for more than 30 years. The clients are male street children and/or abused children who are 12 to 17 years old upon admission. Each case is being managed from admission to after care. The program utilizes a case management process to better address the needs of each client in a holistic manner using a Caring (physical), Healing (emotional, psychological, social & spiritual) and Teaching (mental) Framework. A multi-disciplinary team (social workers, teacher, houseparents, psychologist and other auxiliary professionals) are providing specific services according to the clients’ assessed needs.
Beneficiaries:
42 Male Street Children & 16 Shelter Staff
Program Implementation:
There are 42 boys in the Shelter at the time of the mandated Enhance Community Quarantine (ECQ). The Foundation is dependent on funding from donors and rented spaces. However, due to the ECQ, many of our donors are unable to continue their support as they have been confined in their own homes and most of the banks are also closed. The Foundation needs to provide for the basic needs of its clients, as well as pay the salaries of the staff. At this point, financial difficulty is being experienced by the organization. Hence, this fund request for assistance is being submitted.
