Street children who are victims of domestic violence and abuse

The Tahanan Mapagkalinga ni Madre Rita (TMMR) is a licensed and accredited Social Agency by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) that is run by the Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation (ASOLC). The residential home, located at Sta Cruz, Guiguinto, Bulacan, is in its 15th year of existence.

“A Home for Children in Need of Special Protection.”

TMMR offers an alternative and nurturing home for indigent and neglected Filipino street children, boys and girls from aged 5-16 years old, who are also victims of domestic violence and suffer from sexual, physical, psychological or verbal abuse.

“TMMR aims to empower these children to realize their self-worth and to fulfill their dreams of a better life as they journey back to their families or settle in a new home or community.”

The home provides them with more than just basic needs (such as food, household supplies, school supplies and uniforms), but a holistic formation as well, through proper education and a strong foundation built on Christian values.

“TMMR envisions partnerships with generous and compassionate hearts who can be Channels of Blessings to the poor children who are the Last, the Least and the Lost, in our society.”

Through the association with various local and international welfare institutions, TMMR will continue to advocate the rights and responsibilities of these less fortunate children, so that they can grow towards Christian maturity and be integrated into a social environment that is child-friendly, loving and supportive.
